'Hope' is the thing with feathers -
That perches in the soul -
And sings the tune without the words -
And never stops - at all -

Welcome!
Guiding you on your individualized path to healing
Perhaps you're fatigued or anxious - maybe you're unsure about the future of a relationship, or just feel that you aren't living the life you were meant to lead.
Whatever your needs may be, we are here to offer support!
Therapy is a process of growth and self-discovery. Our "toolkits" of holistic, somatic techniques are varied, but we are always guided by the following values:

-
A dedication to client-led inquiry (not advice-giving, but uncovering what you really want!)
-
Unconditional positive regard

Our sessions promote behavioral transformation by encouraging the adoption of new perspectives and reactions, while working with you to uncover and transform the blocks that have prevented this change in the past.
We have the tools and professional experience to help you determine your own future.

About Us
Down-to-earth holistic wellness

Since 2005, we’ve helped clients learn and practice new ways to handle the issues that are standing in the way of their goals. We have grounded, well-earned experience and practice using an array of methods; from logic-based to somatic/body-based.
Nicole has a special interest in integrating plants into counseling, having completed a 375-hour training and certificate program at the Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine in herbal folk practice and foraging. She has developed a holistic health approach, "KinWork", which incorporates your intrinsic connection to plants, animals and your own belief system. KinWork guides you to define what wellness could truly look like, explore holistic healing and to alleviate loneliness. Nicole notes, "We feel less alone and more hopeful when we tune into just how connected we already are to the world, and we can explore that connection in an imaginative and sensory way."

Chris is a natural builder (he meets with clients virtually from the cob hobbit house he built in his yard) and a fantasy author. He has a special interest in supporting writers, musicians and artists of all kinds in unblocking creativity and allowing true expression.

We met in our graduate program -- in Holistic Clinical Mental Health Counseling -- at the highly regarded Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. back in 2004.

While we're thankful that Lesley provided renowned teachers within a multicultural and international city, we're also extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to be Rogue Valley residents for almost 20 years now!
We're embedded in our little valley and we work hard to support our neighbors and our community. We have two children in our wonderful local schools and we're outside with them - hiking, camping, and going to local events - every chance we get! We never, ever, ever, miss the winters spent shoveling New England snow...

We have developed our own paths of differing specialty areas over the years, though we both share a commitment to client-led, mind-body, depth-oriented, and research-based therapy. Commonly-used interventions include ACT Model, Collaborative Problem Solving, DBT, Narrative, Somatic/body-based, and we are IFS (parts work) informed.

We pride ourselves on our grounded approaches to the actual treatment sessions; we explain the treatment options thoroughly to clients, are happy to flex whenever needed, and always develop a transparent assessment and service plan (with concrete goals) in partnership with clients.

We are able to accept some private insurance plans in-network (email us to confirm current plan membership) and others in an out-of-network capacity. We are fully contracted with Jackson Care Connect/CareOregon and AllCare (Oregon Health Plan), and we also offer a sliding scale for clients without insurance or those who choose not to access out-of-network benefits.
Please contact us by email to confirm our coverage under your plan.

We would be glad to help you!
